Our Mission
SiStar Society Academy of Excellence empowers young ladies ages 9-17 to reach their full potential by providing mentorship, leadership development, and life skills education in a supportive and inspiring environment. We are committed to fostering confidence, resilience, and purpose, equipping girls to become strong, capable leaders in their communities and beyond.
Our Vision
SISTAR SOCIETY envisions a values-centered sisterhood where young ladies are nurtured, empowered, and equipped to become confident, purpose-driven women. Guided by a belief in something greater than ourselves, we use the art of dance, foundational life skills, and intentional mentorship to create a safe and uplifting environment where girls can express themselves freely while building character, discipline, and self-respect.
In a world that often pressures young women toward comparison, isolation, and oversexualization, SISTAR SOCIETY stands as a place of unity, purpose, and belonging. We believe we are created to thrive in community—not walk alone. Our vision is to cultivate self-love, resilience, and leadership in every young lady we serve, inspired by timeless principles of strength, integrity, and grace, and grounded in authentic sisterhood
Our Approach
At SiStar Society Academy of Excellence, we empower young women through a holistic blend of academic enrichment, leadership development, and mentorship—brought to life through creative expression such as dance and art. Our programs build confidence, resilience, and self-awareness while encouraging girls to explore their creativity and voice.
Through a supportive sisterhood and engaging, hands-on experiences, participants connect with positive role models, develop essential life skills, and gain the courage to set goals and step boldly into their future.

Meet Our Founders
Co- Founder
Charisse, Co-founder of SiStar Society Academy of Excellence, is a passionate advocate for youth development. Growing up in Maywood, IL, she spent years supporting at-risk youth as a Case Manager, where her dedication to mentoring and empowering young women was born.
After moving to Appleton, WI with her husband and three children, Charisse turned her vision into reality—creating a safe, inspiring space where girls can build confidence, set goals, and grow into strong, capable leaders.
Co- Founder
Dalene, Co-Founder of SiStar Society, grew up in Matteson, IL before relocating to Appleton, WI in 2013. She brings over 10 years of experience in Corporate Recruitment an area that allowed her passion for helping others to truly flourish.
As a proud mother of three and a loving GiGi to two, Dalene’s commitment to community and youth development is deeply personal. Recognizing the need for increased African-American representation and inspired by her daughter’s love for dance and service, she felt compelled to merge creativity with purpose. This vision led her to help establish SiStar Society, creating a space where young girls can express themselves through dance and the arts while being empowered to uplift others and make a meaningful impact in their community.

At SiStar Society, we believe in showing up for our communities and teaching girls that service is powerful. Through volunteering our time and resources at local middle schools, homeless shelters, and community organizations, our girls learn what it means to care for others while building confidence and connection.
These experiences help our girls form meaningful friendships, strengthen their support systems, and understand the importance of mental and emotional wellness. By giving back, they discover their voices, recognize their value, and see firsthand how their kindness and actions can make a real difference in the lives of others.

Basic Life Skills Prep
Too often, we've heard, "I wish they would have taught us 'this' in school," when speaking on basic life skills such as, household management, personal hygiene etc. How do those lacking a solid support system obtain these skills if they aren't taught in our schools either? Practicing life skills can improve a child's self-esteem, confidence, and social competence. Learning life skills helps children make the most out of life, helping them to take action and increase responsibility over their own lives.
Expression Through Dance & Art
SiStar Academy uses movement and dance to promote physical health, confidence, and self-expression for girls ages 9–17. Through engaging dance-based activities, participants strengthen their bodies, improve coordination, and develop healthy habits while learning to express their emotions and creativity.
Our program encourages girls to move with purpose, embrace their individuality, and build confidence—supporting their growth into strong, self-assured, and FABULOUS young women.
Etiquette Training
We are inspired by the message of the Proverbs 31 woman and strive to instill those values in our young ladies. We encourage them to look toward the future with purpose—guided by plans, goals, and faith. In a world that often promotes independence without character, we intentionally uplift the timeless qualities of dignity, grace, and elegance.
As Proverbs 31:30 reminds us, “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” We believe true strength and confidence are rooted in faith and character, and we aim to nurture those qualities in every young woman we serve
Mental Health Wellness & Awareness
Wellness From the Inside Out
At SiStar Society, we believe taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your goals. Through our Mind Your Business Workshops, girls are given a safe space to learn about mental health, emotional wellness, and healthy boundaries in a way that’s honest, supportive, and age-appropriate.
These interactive sessions encourage self-awareness, confidence, and open conversation—helping young ladies understand their emotions, manage stress, and prioritize their well-being without shame. Mind Your Business reminds our girls that protecting their peace is powerful, and mental wellness is part of becoming their best selves.
